Iota magazine is a long running literary magazine, founded in Derbyshire over twenty years ago with a reputation for publishing excellent poetry from both new and established writers, and enjoys an international readership. The new format of Iota allows us to publish a wide selection of new poetry, interviews with poets and a selection of reviews as well as listings of poetry events around the country and further afield.

Iota 85 is due at the end of August and contains interviews with George Szirtes, Katrina Porteous and Chris James as well as a wide selection of new poetry and reviews.

The Iota International Poetry Competition is a major new single poetry competition and all the winning poems will be published in Iota.

Iota is also branching into fiction and the first issue dedicated to fiction is published in November 2009, featuring work from Tim Parks and Damon Galgut, two Booker shortlisted authors, alongside a wide selection of new contemporary fiction and reviews.
